Spring finally conquered. So long thou cold shade of Winter.

Break from Uni meant a train ticket straight down to Mum and Dad and Simrishamn. Break for easter meant sun, walks, easter egg, nature, art and very much indeed; Spring. 

Being my first spring and all, having been away for a while, it chocked me to see the transformation from one day to another. But it appears to be that as soon as the sun is out for more than four hours a day, people wake up and migrate into town. I sat down and watched this crowding and how people, normally frowning down towards the ground, now mingled around with smiles on their face. Tragic in a way, but I guess humane and maybe a bit cute in another. Bears too awakes with spring. And cows.

Although the temperature has not yet gone pass 15°C and we still keep the house warm with having the fireplace going, the wind still lures one out for a walk outside to enjoy spring as only Swedes can do; 7°C and we take of our jackets, 10°C and we have our daily lattes outside and at 15°C we sun bake.

It is incredible in a way, how humankind can change so dramatically from one day to another. It was only last week that people were hiding in light rooms, trying to escape the dark. While watching these people I could’nt help but wonder what all these people do and where they go the rest of the year.

I live for being outdoors, it renders sweetness to my soul and as last autumn, I got  peacefully delighted by the colors of spring. Among the slowly warming winter trees, flowers stands tall. Proudly they aim for the sky and self absorbedly they draw all attention to them, seeking justice for many months folded under thick beds of leaf and snow.  It’s only the season in between that brings this country down, but there are few other moments in life where one can feel as harmonized as when northern nature glow.
