I was there, 25.09.09

I woke up and asked Tim about the light. What is that? We looked at the time, concluding that it wasnt sunrise so perhaps the dust storm had reached us too. Being lazy, we stayed a bit in bed and wasted the reddest part that blew pass, but even an hour later it was like stepping out in a town of sepia, with the sun shining blue and the screen of my camera just as. Even with sunglasses and scarfs to cover my face I came home with dust in my ears and sand in my pockets. My clothes had picked up a tone of red and the smell of dust had penetrated my nostrils. It was beautiful.

Due to lack of Internet I have not yet been able to show people my new crib and so I have promised the unknown to update some photos of the place. Ta da!

a bit of bad luck

Still havent got Internet at home. Sick and tired of having to spend $4 for a coffee every day at Gloria Jeans using their WiFi called Gloria Jeans - we hate gay people. That adds up to $16 a week! An Internet connection would be $25 a month between the two of us.. But we are dependent on others. Never be, trust me. Stay alive! Anyhow. OUR CAR GOT STOLEN! Its gone. Have you seen it? Its a white corolla.. KIE something.. If only Australian people didnt love their white cars. I get confused all the time, start running after all white cars I see and shit, hoping to catch the sneaky bastard. We got the sickest troopie to borrow though, so not all shame. Life's still good though, could do a few more friends. Its hard when studying from home or among elderly people at GJ everyday. Send yourself over and hang out with me! Ciao.

I have never seen this many adults working at McDonalds as I have the last three months. Not even in India are the McDonald staff old. But in Australia, it seems like the general craving of fat food inspire people to apply for a McD jobs. Its no longer the difficulties for young people to find work elsewhere that drives them to McDonalds, but the enjoyment for some, being around greasy kitchens eating fat food works as the incentive here. Yummy.
